Navratri Day 3 #
Completing the two days of the auspicious festival of Navratri, let’s begin with the third night which will help in strengthening our emotions and spiritual energies.
I am delighted and excited, as on the previous day, I had firm grit and positive vibes to complete a few things at the end of the with a positive note. I wrote around 3.5k words (day 2 post + weekly tech newsletter + other tech stuff). This looks a good foundation for me to develop a writing routine and what a better time to start this publication. The first two days of Navratri had given me a steady head start to my writing journey, hope this continues and becomes a vital part of my life.
Moving on to the actual content of this post, as we enter the third day of Navratri, the theme depicts self-awareness and the pursuit of honing fearlessness. The step by step incremental spiritual enlightenment is really inspiring and helping me in overcoming my negative emotions. Since the first day was to start the spiritual journey, and the second one helping us detach from the materialistic desires, showing grit, these all qualities will help in the third day/phase to become self-aware, grit with fearlessness and igniting one’s spiritual fire further.

In her previous life, Devi Durga was Sati, who self-immolated and reborn as Parvati. Through intense penance, Parvati won Lord Shiva’s heart. Initially terrified by Shiva’s ash-covered, matted-haired appearance, Parvati transformed into a powerful figure with ten arms, riding a lion.
With unwavering devotion, she prayed for Shiva’s transformation. Moved by her love, Shiva revealed his radiant form, and their grand wedding took place. So, on the third day of Navratri, we honour our respects and pray to Maa Chandraghanta devi to remove all our negative thoughts and emotions.

The Manipura Chakra is essential for confidence, emotional balance and intuition, making it crucial for spiritual growth and self empowerment.
The Manipura Chakra is the third vital energy chakra after the Sacral/Swadhisthana Chakra.
The term Manipura means ‘the city of jewels’ or ‘the place of gems’. It symbolizes the dwelling place of inner strength, self-awareness, and personal power. It supports personal growth, emotional balance, self-confidence, digestion, and physical well-being, and is associated with the pancreas, solar plexus, digestive system, and adrenal glands. Activating this chakra develops self-confidence, enhances emotional balance, improves digestion, cultivates personal power, and transforms and purifies the self.
However, an imbalance can lead to emotional turmoil, lack of self-confidence, digestive issues, anxiety, depression, and obsession with power and control. To maintain balance, it’s crucial to remove attachment to ego-based desires, self-doubt, and fear, and instead cultivate self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and positivity through practices like yoga, meditation, and self-reflection.
Maa Chandraghanta Devi rightly teaches us to balance this chakra, whose symbol is fire, she carries weapons and lotus, rosary (kamadal) in her hands, indicating us to calm the inner fire, removing negativity from within and balance this chakra. Meditation, Being Kind, Being Courageous, or able to express our emotions for a righteous cause are some of the ways to balance this chakra, having self-awareness and fearlessness is vital.
